By train

Tomorrowland Winter is easy to reach by train. You can make the journey part of the magic, with a scenic, sustainable journey by train. It’s far less carbon – and much more fun!

The closest station to Alpe d’Huez is Grenoble, which has excellent rail connections both from within France and internationally. The transfer from Grenoble station to Alpe d’Huez takes about 90 minutes – with frequent bus services and private taxis.

By Bus

For convenient transportation to Alpe d'Huez, consider using shuttle services. They will take you from cities like Lyon or Geneva to Alpe d’Huez. And once you are there, you have got shuttle options within Alpe d’Huez too.

These shuttle services offer an easy way to reach Tomorrowland Winter. Just remember to plan your transportation in advance for a smooth journey to the festival!

By car

Important Parking Information:

Parking is limited. Carpooling is strongly recommended to ensure availability. Additionally, there is no dedicated Tomorrowland Winter parking in Alpe d'Huez. Secure your parking spot in advance.

• Parking at your lodging: Verify if your accommodation includes parking. If yes, leave your car parked there for the duration of your stay.

• No Parking at your lodging: If your lodging does not have any parking, consider using a covered parking facility in Alpe d'Huez. More information can be found here.

• Carpooling: Avoid coming with multiple cars if you are staying in the same lodging. Try to carpool as much as possible.

• During the festival: If you are staying in Alpe d'Huez, it is best to leave your car at your accommodation during your stay. Try to travel around the village by bus.

Follow the signs to Lyon, Grenoble and Alpe d’Huez.

Winter conditions on the road can be dangerous. Take precautions:

• During winter, snow chains and snow tires are legal requirements in a mountain environment in France.

• Following items are mandatory to have in your vehicle in France:

  • safety vest

  • warning triangle

• If you have booked a rental car, winter tires may not be included. Make sure you have snow chains.

• Bring a scraper and a small shovel with you to remove the snow on and around your vehicle.

• Replace your windshield washer fluid with antifreeze fluid.

• France has toll-paying motorways.

• Snow blower will operate every night.

If you are traveling from outside of France, you can take a flight to Lyon or Grenoble.

If you are not staying in Alpe d'Huez, please be aware that Tomorrowland is not organizing any shuttles to Tomorrowland Winter.

During the day, you can reach the villages surrounding Alpe d'Huez by ski lift. Please find below the closing hours:

• Alpe d’Huez to Auris en Oisans: last departure 16:25

• Alpe d’Huez to Oz en Oisans: Last departure 16:40

• Alpe d’Huez to Villard Reculas: Last departure 16:35

• Alpe d’Huez to Vaujany: Last departure 16:20

• Only the ski lifts from the different stages of Tomorrowland Winter to Alpe d'Huez will operate until the stages close.
